CARWASHES

Scroll down

There are three key factors in operating a carwash:

The system must be reliable
The water must be odourless and dry spotlessly
Sufficient cheap water must be available

Some carwashes opt to fully run on tap water with a water softening system. However, most carwashes operate with a Reverse Osmosis system connected to well water. Both technologies have their advantages. For example, Reverse Osmosis produces cleaner water than a water softener, while it is cheaper to purchase a water softener.

A Reverse Osmosis system requires an excellent water source for stable operation; however, the well water’s quality ultimately determines the design of the system. In the Province of South Holland well water is generally good, while in the Province of Flevoland it generally is much more inferior. As a consequence, a customer in Almere, Flevoland, wore out two systems from different competitors over a few months’ time. The systems quickly became contaminated causing production to drastically decline over just a few weeks. We remedied this problem by installing one of our comprehensive 9 m3/h Reverse Osmosis systems. The system has stayed in production ever since, without any concerns on the part of the customer.

Our systems are far more advanced than other systems on the market. Combined with our 50 years of experience this gives us a significant lead over our competitors!

Aeration tower/methane stripper

A common practice for extracting methane from water after Reverse Osmosis is to install an aeration tower. By blowing air into the water, the methane is extracted from the water. This produces odour-free water, eliminates the accretion of bacterial biofilm (which prevents problems with the nozzles) and somewhat improves water quality.
